Biography

Lillian “Truly” Haynes, McNeil, daughter of the late Lawton Haynes and Josephine Grant Edward, was born on January 13, 1923, in Charleston, South Carolina.

Truly received his education in the Charleston County School District.
Truly was united in marriage to Robert Glennie McNeil, Sr., who preceded her in death.

Truly became an active member of Cordesville United Methodist Church where she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She served on the Steward Board and Choir until her health failed her.

On Wednesday, November 24, 2010, Truly departed this life at Hallmark Healthcare Center, Summerville, SC.

Those who will always cherish her memory are: her grandson, Leonard (Sabrina) Collins; a special great-granddaughter, Courtney Collins; four sisters, Vivian K. Hadley, Lucille (Herman) Washington, Gladys (Jessie) Lloyd and Janette Haynes; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
