Biography

Joel O. White, Sr., son of the late Ernest and Dorothy McFadden White, was born on January 25, 1938, in St. Stephen, SC. He received his education in the Berkeley County School System.

Joel met and later married Betty White. This union was blessed with four children.

Joel accepted Christ at an early age and upon relocating to South Carolina, he became affiliated with Refuge Temple Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in St. Stephen, SC.

Joel leaves to cherish many fond memories: his wife, Betty White, Bronx, NY; a daughter Beverly White, Bronx, NY; three sons, Joel Keith White, Jr., Summerville, SC, Jerome (Edith) White, Brooklyn, NY and Bradley White, Bronx, NY; one sister, Cora Alston Ravenell , St. Stephen, SC; Neno (nephew) and Ariel (niece), St. Stephen, SC whom he reared as his own. He was blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, Maximillian, Jolique, and Kiyan; two brothers-in-law, Willis Murray White, St. Stephen, SC and Louis White, New York, NY; one sister-in-law, Loretta White, Eutawville, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
