Albertha Gaillard, affectionately known as "Bert", was born December 16, 1956, in St. Stephen, SC. She was the daughter of Beatrice Jenkins Steele, Otto Steele and Franklin Wilder. God knew her heart and all the love in her soul. She heard the voice of the Lord say, "Daughter, the time is now to come home." She departed this life on January 29, 2009, in Warner Robins, GA. At an early age, Bert attended St. Stephen Baptist Church. She was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County. Bert was joined in matrimony to Tony Gaillard, MSgt USAF, Retired, for 36 years. This union was blessed with three children. They traveled extensively via the United States Air Force. Bert was a loving wife and mother; she was also Tony's best friend. Bert's loving memories will always be cherished in the hearts of: her devoted husband, Tony; her children, Anthony (Melissa), Contina "Nickie" (Vic) and Tiffany; nine grandchildren, Devante, Kaelyn, Candra, Nekya, Nikea, Shillae, Daisha, Emantrell and Breanah; her parents; four siblings, Kenneth, Sherry, Denise (Bernard) and Hope (Derrick); seven nephews, Warren Jr., Amziah, Jeremy, David, Bryan, Jayre and De'Ryus; three nieces, De'Nage, Jamie and De'Keria; four half-sisters, Ruthie Dean (Jack), Catherine, Janet and Amanda (James); two half-brothers, Franklin Leroy and Darryl; a stepmother, Ruthie Wilder; one stepsister, Desdemonia; two stepbrothers, Otto III and Joseph; one uncle, Robert Milford, Jr. (Diane); one step-uncle, Willie Mouzon (Sadie); two God daughters, Delethia Torbit and Bonita Hardy; special cousins, Shirley, Ruth and Agnes "Big Annie"; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Bert was preceded in death by one sister, Angeline Wigfall and one uncle, Leroy Milford.
