Alvilda R. Wheeler, the daughter of the late John and Eleitha Richardson, was born on March 30, 1934 in Summerville, South Carolina. She was the last living child of their union. On Saturday afternoon, July 27, 2013, our loved one went home to be with our Lord. Alvilda received her education in the public schools of Berkeley County. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, reading and as the sun shines bright yellow, so was her favorite color and her heart. Alvilda was married to Wayne A. Wheeler, her loving husband for fifty-five years, who preceded her in death. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and an all around nurturing woman to all. Those left to cherish her memories are: her children, Brenda Twiggs of Moncks Corner, SC, Wayne (San) Wheeler of North Charleston, SC, Keith B. Wheeler of Summerville, SC, Lisa D. (Bryan) Hendricks of Tampa, FL, Gary (Belinda) Wheeler of Summerville, SC and Jamie (Christie) Wheeler of Goose Creek, SC; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
