Alvin Walker, Sr. , the son of Bertha Lee Walker and the late Archie Walker, Sr., was born on March 10, 1955 in Summerville, South Carolina. He departed this life on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, South Carolina.

Alvin was educated in the Berkeley County School System.

He was employed at the Extruded Aluminum Company in Summerville, SC for 32 years.

At a young age, Alvin met his soulmate and the love of his life, Gloria (Diane) Perry on September 28, 1973. They were united in Holy Matrimony, and this union was blessed with five sons.

Bozo, as he was affectionately called, was a father figure to many in the community. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was also a great uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: three siblings, Archie Walker, Jr., Earnell Walker and Frances Lawrence; his mother-in-law, Addie B. Perry and a sister-in-law, Priscilla Perry.

Alvin will always be remembered by: a devoted wife, Gloria Walker; a loving and caring mother, Bertha Lee Walker; five loving sons, Alvin Walker, Jr. (Crystal), Lataurus Walker (Layveleta), Donnell Walker (Rudenia), Ronnell Walker (Tina) and Derrick Walker (Alicia); his siblings, Marilyn Walker, Richard Walker (Jean), Brenda Bloom (Allen), Cathy Hampton (Willie), Darlene Walker, Donnaver Walker, Deloris Walker, Dorothy Ann Rivers, Arthur Lee Rivers and Roiley Rivers (Loretta); five sisters-in-law, Leslie Mae Hunt, Lorie Hunt, Connie Perry, Dorothy Walker and Carolyn Walker; one brother-in-law, Cornelius Perry; ten grandchildren, L á hmari Walker, L á stacia Walker, De'Antre Walker, De'Aujanae Walker, Natalia Walker, Tiauna Walker, Serenity Walker, Kendrick Walker, Emery Walker and Jabril Walker; two special grandchildren, De'Aujanae Walker and Kendrick Walker; two aunts, Pertunia (Malachi) Capers and Theresa Walker; two very special cousins, Nathaniel Walker and Eugene Walker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
