Starts at 2:00 pm (Eastern time)
With heartfelt sympathy and deepest respect, we gather to celebrate the life of Sister Anna C. Jamison, who peacefully departed this world on Friday, March 13, 2026.
A devoted and faithful member of Mt. Carmel AME Church in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Sister Jamison was a woman of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and boundless love for her family and community. Those who were blessed to know her will always remember her dignity, her thoughtful wisdom, and the steadfast trust in God that guided every step of her journey.
Sister Jamison possessed a special warmth that touched everyone she met. While she could be both witty and firm when called upon, she always greeted others with a gentle smile, carrying herself with grace and heartfelt kindness. Her presence was a source of comfort, encouragement, and often a lighthearted moment that lifted the spirits of those around her. She was a true pillar of strength—a loving guide who freely gave her time and support to those in need.
Her life was deeply anchored in faith, and she often found solace and inspiration in the words of Proverbs 3:5–6, reflecting her lifelong trust in the Lord’s guidance.
Sister Jamison was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Leon and Geneva Codes, Sr.; her devoted husband, Adam Jamison; cherished grandson, Aundrae Brown; and loving sisters, Ida B. Spruill, Denise L. Diggs, and Rosa Lee “Tot” Codes Smith.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, resilience, and faith through her daughters, Debbie L. Jones (Nathaniel) and Rosalind D. Jamison; grandson, Terrance Brown; great-grandchildren, Kamaria Brown and Kristian Brown; her dear siblings, Samuel Codes (Barbara), Freddie Codes (Marcy), Mary Chavis, Terry Codes (Annette), Robert Codes, Leon Codes, Jr. (Carolyn), Shirley Ann Codes, and Clayton “Douglas” Codes; her in-laws Herlene McMillian (Jimmy), Asiley Jack (Curtis), and Frances Taylor. She will also be missed by nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and her cherished church family, all of whom will carry her memory lovingly in their hearts.
The family will receive friends at their home beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., during which time they humbly request respect for their wishes.
A viewing will follow on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Sister Anna C. Jamison will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel AME Church, 1059 Old Black Oak Road, Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Interment will follow at the Mt. Carmel AME Church Cemetery.
The service will be lived streamed on Mt. Carmel AME Church's Facebook and YouTube pages.
As we mourn the loss of such a beloved soul, we kindly ask that you hold the Jamison, Codes, and Gibbs families close in your prayers, surrounding them with love, comfort, and strength during this time of sorrow.
Sister Anna C. Jamison’s spirit of faith, kindness, and unwavering devotion will forever be a blessing to all who knew her.
