Obituary

Anna Bishop Jenkins, daughter of the late Richard Bishop Sr. and Mary Ford Bishop, was born in the 41 section of St. Stephen, SC on March 6, 1960. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday evening, November 8, 2018 at the Cancer Treatment Center in Newnan, GA.

Anna received her education in the Berkeley County school system and was a graduate of Macedonia High School. She received her certificate in Secretarial Science from Trident Technical College.

Anna accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member of Day Dawn Baptist Church where she served as the Sunday School Secretary, member of the Gospel Choir and teacher for Vacation Bible School.

On December 26, 1981, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to James Jenkins Jr. They were blessed with four beautiful children.

Anna enjoyed sewing, making floral arrangements and listening to various types of music. She was employed for 33 years at C. R. Bard as a receptionist and production assistant.

Anna leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, James Jenkins Jr.; her four children, Elder Priscilla J. (Elder Johnathan) Barnes, Jeanna (Minister Joseph) Wallace, James S. (Makeiva) Jenkins and Jessica S. (Curtis) Hunter; eleven grandchildren, Jamia, Princeton, Curtis, Jaden, Jalen, Abigail, Joshua, Kenadi, Jordan, Laylah and Amara; six sisters, Melvina Mazyck, Joan Perrin, Clara Bishop, Julia L. (Andrew) Gourdine, Kathleen (Floyd) Norton and Alice Bland; father and mother-in-law, James and Elizabeth Jenkins Sr.; in-laws, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
