Annette Smith, daughter of Louann Smith and Eugene Smith, was born on September 12, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY. She departed this life on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, SC.
Annette was educated in New York at Eastern District High School and graduated in 1978. While living in Brooklyn, she was employed at the Agency Child Development for 13 years as an executive secretary. After relocating to South Carolina in 1996, Annette worked several different jobs for short periods of time. Her last job was at the Board of Education, Moncks Corner, SC.
Annette was united in Holy Matrimony to James Jones in 1985. She was blessed with one daughter and two sons. Her husband preceded her in death.
Annette joined Wesley United Methodist Church where she served as an Usher and sang on the Gospel Choir.
Annette loved to read and complete puzzles.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Shanette (Sean) Jones-Gethers; two sons, Kaheem Jones and Lashod Jones; her parents, Louann and Eugene Smith; sisters, Arlene (Terry) Templeman and Sabrina Smith; brothers-in-law, Ronald, Tyrone and Kevin Adams; sister-in-law, Tracey Adams; special niece, Diashiana Templeman; special nephews, Terrell Templeman and Christopher Lewis; special friend, Antonio Richardson; aunts, Evelyn (Joseph) Weathers and Ruthann Brown; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1008 Sugar Hill Road, Moncks Corner, SC. Viewing will be Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Old Nazareth Cemetery, Pinopolis, SC.
