Obituary

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever.  Amen.

- 2 Timothy 4:18

Antoinette Gadsden, daughter of Christopher Gadsden and the late Johnnie Ruth Keitt Gadsden, was born on January 3, 1967 in Bronx, New York. She went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2016.

Antoinette affectionately known as Toni, graduated from Walton High School in 1985.  She then went on to further her studies at LaGuardia Community College. Her first job was at White Castle. After college, she worked for a number of years as a data entry clerk at Deutsche Bank. She worked a number of temp jobs, but 14 years ago, she found a job that she loved at Con Edison where she was employed as a Payroll Specialist.

To know Toni was to love her. She was a "people" person with a sweet spirit and personality. On the computer, she was like an FBI agent. She could find money, people and anything else! She loved to laugh; her sense of humor was infectious! Toni fancied herself as a "match maker". She always was looking for a "hook up" for her family and friends. Toni was someone you could talk to, and she would always keep your secrets. She was a loyal friend to family and friends.

Antoinette accepted Christ and joined Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bronx, NY.

Toni l eaves to cherish her loving memories: her loving and devoted daughter, Rachelle Ravin Williams of Bronx, NY; her loving father, Christopher Gadsden of St. Stephen, SC; four brothers, Christopher Gadsden, Jr. of Woodbridge, VA, Anthony Tindel of New York, NY, Velvin Gadsden and Jamail Gadsden of St. Stephen, SC; two sisters, Dawn Washington of New York, NY and Quannie Lee of Bronx, NY; four aunts: Virginia McDaniel of Columbia, SC, Annie B. Simmons of Washington, DC, Victoria Rolley of Bronx, NY and Shirley Ann Harewood of Brooklyn, NY; five uncles, Joseph (Shirley) Gadsden of New Haven, CT, Will (Caleta) Keitt of Brooklyn, NY, Thomas Keitt of Orangeburg, SC, Nathaniel (Deborah) Keitt of Clinton, MD, Roger Keitt of Columbia, SC and Stanley Keitt of Waldorf, MD; six nieces and five nephews; three grandaunts, Estelle Glover of Charleston, SC, Naomi Cooper of St. Stephen, SC and Elease Washington of Bonneau, SC; two granduncles, Joseph Sanders of Santee, SC and Henry Summers of Bowman, SC; and a host of special loving cousins and friends.
