It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Arthur White, 72, of St. Stephen, SC, on December 16, 2024. Born on September 6, 1952, in St. Stephen, SC, he was the son of the late Inetha Washington and Thomas White.

Arthur spent much of his adult life in the automotive industry, dedicating himself to the trade of selling cars. As a proud entrepreneur, he eventually founded and managed his own car dealership, a testament to his hard work, business acumen, and passion for his craft.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Arthur was an active and devoted member of his church, contributing to the community in numerous ways. A man of many interests, Arthur was an avid fan of both the Star Wars and Star Trek franchises, a true enthusiast of the worlds they created. He also found joy in simpler pleasures such as fishing and grilling-–always bringing people together with his generous spirit.

Arthur was known for his optimistic outlook on life. No matter what problems or tribulations he was experiencing, if you asked him how he was feeling, he would always respond with a hearty "FANTASTIC!" His infectious positivity and resilience left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

He had a deep love for his family, which included his children: Dana Gilbert (Ed Gilbert), Wesley Richardson (Nicole Richardson), Artisha Bland (Lasandra Bland), and Thomas White. Arthur was a proud grandfather to his cherished grandchildren: Brooklyn, Ed, Justin, Taylor, and Malichi. His legacy also includes his beloved siblings, Rev. Cornelius White (Betty White), Rebecca Brown, and Francena Washington and a host of adored nieces and nephews.

Arthur's passing leaves a profound hole in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will continue to live on through the love of his children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and the many friends and colleagues he encountered throughout his life.

The Home Going Service will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at Calvary Reformed Episcopal Church, 606 Monitor Lane, St. Stephen, SC, with viewing from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
