With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Artis Myers of New York City, who transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Mrs. Leola Bennett Myers.

Mr. Myers leaves a cherished legacy through his family, whose love and memories will forever remain in their hearts. His life and the moments shared with him will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Levi Bennett (Mary) of Summerville, SC, Sheila Bennett, Derran Bennett, and Sylvia Brandy Myers (Chanin Dennis), all of Brooklyn, NY; six grandsons, Derrick Singleton (Keisha), Levi Jerome Bennett, II (Cordenia), Galen Bennett, Jermaine Dublin, Elijah Dennis, and Malik Dennis; five great-grandchildren, Deshawn Singleton, Naviah (Butterfly) Rose Bennett, Kieran Bennett, Kendall Singleton, and Jaidyn Singleton; his sister, Nellie Ruth Nixon of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, October 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gethers Funeral Home, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the O. Allen Gethers Memorial Chapel, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. Interment will take place at Bethel UM Church Cemetery, 1245 Forty-One Road, St. Stephen, SC.
