Austine Earl Dillon III was born on July 3, 1957 to Austine Dillon Jr. and the late Dorothy Vanlue Dillon. He expired on August 31, 2011, after an extended illness. Austine completed his education in the Berkeley County School District. He retired from the United States Army with 18 years of service. Later, he was employed by the Berkeley County School District as a head custodian. On August 13, 1979, Austine married his childhood sweetheart, Linda President, and to this happy union were born three beautiful daughters, Dorothy, Kioshi and Ellynn. Left to cherish his memory is his dear wife, Linda; daughters; son-in-law, Daniel Heyward; and his two cherished granddaughters, Samaria and Malaysia. He also leaves behind his loving father, Austine Dillon Jr. and stepmother, R. Marcella Dillon; siblings: R. Delores Vanlue; Ruth A. Campbell and her husband Herbert; Augustine Bailey and her husband Frank; Edward L. Dillon and his wife Flora; Andrew M. Dillon and his wife Cynthia; and Marcel L. Dillon and his wife, LaShonda. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Dorothy President; two supportive and well loved in-laws, Thomas and Patricia Horry; sister-in-law, Carolyn Williams and her husband Jerome; adopted brother-in-law, David Reid; and a host of nieces and nephews. Brother Dillon, after studying the bible, dedicated his life to Jehovah and publicly showed this by water baptism on June 21, 2008. He had an active share in all congregational activities. He is fondly remembered by his spiritual brothers and sisters for his warm smile, greetings and concern for others. He will be deeply missed by all!
