With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Benjamin McQueen, Jr. of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, who departed this life on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

Mr. McQueen served his country in the United States Army, and throughout his life he carried that same spirit of dedication and strength into caring for his family.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his beloved wife, Mrs. Elizabeth McQueen; his children, Jermain McQueen, Detrich McQueen, Eric McQueen (Melissa), and Markeen McQueen; his cherished grandchildren; his siblings, Sue Walker and Samuel McQueen; and a host of relatives and friends who will forever treasure the love and kindness he shared.

Viewing will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Gethers Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, 2:00 p.m., at Greater St. James AME Church, 1831 Jedburg Road, Summerville, SC, followed by burial in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing after the service.

Beginning Sunday, February 22, 2026, the family will receive friends at 484 Doughty Lane, Moncks Corner, SC, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. daily.
