I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8 Benjamin F. "Gerald" Singleton, son of Carrie Taylor Singleton and the late Julius Singleton, was born on May 4, 1957 in Moncks Corner, SC. He departed this life after a brief illness on October 16, 2011. He was educated in the Berkeley County Public School System. He graduated from Macedonia High School in 1975 and attended Trident Technical College. At an early age, he became a member of New Emanuel AME Church. Later in life, he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. "Gerald" was known for his "green thumb". He had a natural talent in growing and caring for trees. He planted pecan, peach and apple trees. He also planted grapes and flowers. "Gerald" was a giving person and shared the fruit of his labor with persons in the community. He will be greatly missed. "In the kingdom, all suffering has meaning! Loss is gain."
