With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the peaceful transition of Mrs. Bertha Lee Wilson of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, who entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the remarkable age of 101.

A woman of enduring faith, quiet strength, and grace, Mrs. Wilson lived a long and fruitful life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion. She was an active and faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where her presence and spirit were a source of encouragement to many.

Mrs. Wilson found great joy in the simple yet meaningful pleasures of life. She had a deep love for gardening, baking, and sewing beautiful quilts and tablecloths. She also enjoyed fishing and was especially known for preparing her signature dishes, rice perlo and Hoppin' John - meals that brought family and friends together and created lasting memories. Her nurturing heart and warm spirit will be cherished by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel Wilson, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her loving children, Samuel Wilson, Jr. (Mary) and Alma Louise Reid (Jerome); her dear siblings, Isabelle Harvey, Alphonsa Washington, and Mary Farrakhan; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family members and friends who were blessed to know and love her. 

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time. 

The family will be receiving friends at the residence daily from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
