With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Betty Ann Broadnax of Summerville, SC, who peacefully transitioned from this life on Sunday, June 8, 2025. She was the beloved widow of Mr. Larry Darnell Broadnax, Sr.

Mrs. Broadnax was a supportive and nurturing woman who always put family first. She extended love and kindness to all who knew her and lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and selflessness.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Dwayne Tyrone Adams.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted children: Lawrence Adams, Jr., Derrick Adams, and Larry Darnell Broadnax, Jr. (Charmaine); her loving siblings: Jennie Dupree (James), Virginia Nettles, Shirley Nettles, Wanda Nettles, John Nettles, and J.D. Nettles, Jr.; her treasured grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Viewing and the Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 129 Sumter Avenue, Summerville, SC. The viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 South Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, SC.
