IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty Darby
Jackson
August 16, 1952 – July 17, 2016
Ms. Betty Darby-Jackson was born on August 16, 1952 in St. Stephen, SC to Mr. Samuel and Mrs. Diana Darby. Betty was the fourth child of Mr. & Mrs. Darby and the beloved mother of two sons presented to their father, James Jackson of Hartford, CT: James Samuel Jackson, Jr. of Summerville, SC and Mitchell Alexander Jackson of Hartford, CT.
Betty spent a full and productive life in Hartford. She graduated from Weaver High School and pursued educational and professional growth in the health care system for over 46 years.
In 2000, Betty relocated back home to South Carolina and continued her professional and caring service, serving as a CNA at White Oak Manor in Charleston. She demonstrated a deep love for children, her family and the elderly.
On July 17, 2016 at Hospice of Charleston, Betty made her heavenly transition fearlessly and with great peace.
She leaves a sweet fragrance of love to her family: her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Darby of St. Stephen, SC; two sons, James Samuel Jackson of Summerville, SC and Mitchell Alexander Jackson of Hartford, CT; two sisters, Gailya (Augustus) Warren of Hartford, CT and Samira Darby-Mall of Zurich, Switzerland; two brothers, Frank (Iris) Darby of Tampa, FL and Michael (Vivian) Darby of Hartford, CT; several beloved aunts and uncles of the Darby and the Green Families; a host of special nieces, nephews, and cousins; many dear friends and co-workers.
