Beverly C. Miller was born on August 11, 1943 to Linzy and Annie Matthews in Jamestown, South Carolina. Beverly was affectionately known as "Deb".

Beverly was educated in the Berkeley County School District where she graduated from Russellville High School in 1963. She worked at Santee River Wool. She moved to New York in 1965 and worked in the meat department at Pathmark as a Meat Packer until her retirement.

She was a member and missionary at Everlasting Baptist Church in Jamaica, New York.

She was married to Robert Miller, Sr. in 1968. To this union a son, Robert Miller, Jr. was born.

Beverly departed her earthly home on July 20, 2022.

Beverly was preceded in death by: Linzy and Annie Matthews (parents), Robert Miller, Sr. (husband), Preston and Myrtle Miller (in-laws), Mary Matthews (sister-in-law), Lifkin June (brother-in-law), Benjamin E. Tew, Jr. (nephew), and Jason Matthews (nephew).

Beverly leaves to cherish her memories: Robert Miller, Jr. (son), Demetrius Pettis (grandson), Prestin Miller (grandson), Jocelyn Miller (granddaughter), Kenya Pettis (mother of grandchildren); siblings, Willie (Shirley) Matthews, Roberta June, Linzy (Betty) Matthews, Sandra Smalls; Godchildren, John Singleton, Teresa Boyce; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside service will be held Friday, August 12, 2022, 10:00 a.m., at Faulding Cemetery, Jamestown, SC.
