Sister Carrie "Bea", the oldest daughter of the late Julia Spann Simmons, was born on March 4, 1929 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She departed from this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 26, 2016 in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Sister Carrie "Bea" was educated in the Berkeley County School System.

Sister Carrie "Bea" accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Corner Stone Baptist Church, Brooklyn, NY. When "Bea" moved to Moncks Corner, she became a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church. She was a faithful member. "Bea" loved her church and her pastor. No matter who she talked to, she would always invite them to Rock Hill Baptist Church.

Sister Carrie "Bea" married the love of her life, Reasell McDade. Sister Carrie "Bea" did not have any children of her own, but she loved her nieces and nephews and treated them like her own.

Sister Carrie "Bea" retired from Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY and moved to Moncks Corner, SC. She was a loving, caring and giving person. She loved people.

Sister Carrie "Bea" leaves to treasure her  memories: her husband, Reasell McDade; three sisters, Corine Chavis, Francena Simmons and Rev. Thelma (Deacon John) Perkins all of Moncks Corner, SC; two brothers, Peter Simmons, Jr. and Elijah Simmons both of Moncks Corner, SC; one uncle, Rev. George Lee Bryant of Moncks Corner, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, great-grandnieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
