"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith."
II Timothy 4:7
Catherine E. Starks Davis was born May 20, 1923 in Anderson, South Carolina. She was a daughter of the late John B. Starks and Mary E. Brown Starks.
Catherine accepted Christ at an early age. She was a devoted member of Holy Rock Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a missionary, choir member and a devoted Bible Scholar. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Association Women's Auxiliary, always focusing on spreading God's word.
Catherine, a graduate of Reed Street High School, Anderson, SC, was one of the best AVON Representatives for over 27 years. She volunteered in the school system and soon became a full time teacher's assistant.

Catherine loved making and canning preserves. She was a vivid ceramic maker. She definitely was known for wearing stylish hats, and she wore them well.
Catherine often gave advice to friends on family values, respect and obeying God. Everyone knew that Catherine was a no nonsense lady. She was "as neat as a pin" and disliked dirt or people who wasted things.

An Unknown Visit from God
If God would visit you today what would you have to say?
Would you look through the window or door and wish He would go away?
Would you go to the door and ask God to come in and have a seat?
When He is in your home, would you offer Him a cup of tea?
Would you not ask God to come in because you would
be ashamed of what He would hear or see?
Would you be looking at television or listening to the radio,
to something that promotes sin to grow?
What excuse would you make for not asking God to come in?
When you ask God to come into your home, ask Him for forgiveness
and pray to be grateful and thank Him for being there.
When we do wrong to others, and ourselves, we must repent
and ask God to forgive us, for God is a forgiving God.
When you ask God to come into your home,
be very sure you ask Him to come into your mind and heart, too.
The heart and mind is where the healing of sin starts.
