January 1, 1980 – September 20, 2018
"If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." - Romans 14:8
Catherine W. Parker, daughter of Rose W. King and John Mwangi and stepdaughter of David Benjamin King, was born on January 1, 1980 in Nairobi, Kenya. She departed this life on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
Catherine was educated in the Berkeley County Schools. She was a graduate of Berkeley High School, Class of 1999 where she received a certificate in Early Childhood Education.

Catherine joined Abiding Word Family Ministries where she was a faithful and dedicated member serving in several capacities: Intercessor/Greeter, Sunday School Teacher and Bible Study Scholar. She also sang in the choir and was always willing to help wherever she could to serve others.
Catherine was a volunteer at Westview Elementary School and was actively involved in the PTO. She loved her family and gave unselfishly to help her fellowman by giving generously to the local shelters with her time and gifts.
