Charles B. Greene III, beloved father, son, and brother departed this life on May 6, 2024. He was born was born on January 13, 1972, in Madison, Wisconsin, a son of Charles B. Greene II and Valerie Greene.
Charles, known to family and friends as "Chuckie", graduated from Walter Biddle Saul Agricultural High School in Philadelphia, PA. He enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Persian Gulf War from 1989 to 1993. After his honorable discharge from the military, Charles pursued his academic ambitions at Charleston Southern University, Charleston, SC, where he earned his Bachelor degree. Later, he obtained his Master degree from Webster University, setting the stage for a fulfilling career in clinical therapy.
As a clinical therapist at Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center, Charles touched countless lives with his empathy, understanding, and unwavering dedication to his patients' well-being. Beyond his professional life, Charles was known for his infectious enthusiasm for the Philadelphia Eagles, his impeccable sense of style, particularly with sneakers, and his love for fishing, crabbing, and writing lyrics.
However, Charles's greatest joy in life was being a devoted father to his daughter, Peyton. He actively participated in her school activities at Miracle Academy, St. Stephen, SC. engaging with her classmates and fostering a sense of community. His love for Peyton was evident in every aspect of his life.
Chuckie will be greatly missed by many. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his daughter, his daughter, Peyton Mary Allison Greene; his parents, Valerie J. Moss (Nathaniel) and Charles B. Greene II (Diane); siblings, Brandon Greene (Beverly) and Allyson Greene; nephew, Cameron Greene; aunts, uncles, and a host of family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, 12:00 p.m., at Living Word Christian Church, 1955 Royle Road, Summerville, SC 29486.
