Charlotte LaSaine Leach was born October 10, 1940 in the South Santee Community of McClellanville, a daughter of Mrs. Elouise Mazyck LaSaine and the late Mr. Andrew LaSaine, Sr. She departed this life on June 3, 2009. Charlotte received her education in the public schools of Charleston County and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1958. She moved to New York City and was employed as a Filing Clerk at S.S. Balin Agency for 30 years. She also was employed as a Home Healthcare Aide. Charlotte was a member of Greater Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in South Santee. She was currently a member of Wallace Temple of Christ in Brooklyn, New York where she served faithfully. She was the Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher and the Choir Director of the Wallace Templettes. She was also a member of the Blenders singing group. Charlotte met and married Mr. Harry Leach, her husband of 36 years. This union was blessed with four children. Charlotte loved to sing, testify and shout to the glory of God. She loved serving others, whether it was visits to individual homes, nursing homes, or hospitals. She always answered the call. She leaves to cherish special memories: her husband, Harry Leach of Brooklyn, NY; four children, Christopher LaSaine of McClellanville, SC, Rev. Christopher Leach of Brooklyn, NY, Annette and Le'aster Leach of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Ja'ne, Christina, Tiana and Shawn; her mother, Mrs. Elouise LaSaine of McClellanville, SC; four sisters, Josephine Myers, Thelma (Ronnie) Babbs, Margarette Kennedy all of Brooklyn, NY and Theresia (Cornelius) Alston of McClellanville, SC; three brothers, Jimmy (Nancy) LaSaine of McClellanville, SC, Henry (Desiree) LaSaine of Brooklyn, NY and Charles LaSaine of Bartow, FL; two aunts, Mazzie Mazyck and Sue Smith both of McClellanville, SC, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
