Christopher Wendell Manigault was born on August 22, 1932 in Moncks Corner, SC. He was the son of Charles Manigault and Cynthia Turner Manigault. He entered into eternal rest on October 29, 2023 at Veterans Victory House, Walterboro, SC.

Christopher, affectionately known as "Papa", received his early education at Berkeley Training High School, Moncks Corner, SC. After high school, Christopher enlisted into the United States Army where he served four years. After his honorable discharge, he moved to New York City, NY.

Christopher was united in holy matrimony to Margaret "Margie" Hutchinson. This union was blessed with two children.

Christopher was devoted to his family and friends. He helped people in the community, even strangers. He loved to travel, and he also loved playing cards for fun.

Christopher was a man of faith and always reminded us that "God will work it out."

Christopher was preceded in death by: his wife, Margaret Manigault; parents and several siblings.

Christopher leaves to cherish his memories: loving sons, Donald Manigault and Carl (Darlene) Manigault of Moncks Corner, SC; Kathryn "Kitty" Sheppard Bryant of North Charleston, SC who he treated as a daughter; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, 10:00 a.m., at Jingo & Sarah Manigault Memorial Cemetery, Moncks Corner, SC. Viewing will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. There will be NO VIEWING after the service.
