Christopher Thompson was born on January 4, 1953, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.  He was the second child born to the late Samuel and Sarah Nelson Thompson.  He went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 2, 2024, at his residence.

Chris received his formal education at Berkeley High School, Class of 1971. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country.  After his honorable discharge, he was employed by the Charleston Air Force Base.

At an early age he became a member of Mt. Carmel A.M.E Church.  He later moved to St. Stephen, SC, and resided in the 41 Community.

He is survived by: his children, Wesley Thompson, Lakesha Thompson, Lester Thompson and JaChristopher Thompson (Cecilia); grandchildren; siblings, Samuel Thompson, Jr. and Vera T. Young (Reverend Raymond); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, 11:00 a.m., at O. Allen Gethers Jr. Memorial Chapel, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC.
