Christopher Walker, affectionately known as "Kit", was born on November 19, 1951 in Berkeley County, South Carolina, a son of the late Henry Sr. and Ernestine Walker. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at his home.
Kit grew up in Sheep Island and attended schools in Berkeley County. He was employed at BPK for many years. He also worked at Robert Bosch and Austin. He retired from Austin.
Christopher attended Messiah Church of Deliverance.
Kit loved to fish, build motors, go the beach with he family and football. The Washington Commanders was his favorite NFL Team.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Delores Walker of Moncks Corner, SC; two children, Paulette Pinckney of Goose Creek, SC and Chris Anthony Walker of Schofield, WI; three step-children, Linda (Kelvin) Jackson, Daniel Mack of Miami, FL and Patrick Mack of New Jersey; nine grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; four brothers, Royal Walker, Rev. Henry (Felicia) Walker, Jr., Eugene (Ruth) Walker and Alfonso (Lucille) Walker; three sisters, Rev. Lillie Mae (George) Reid, Gladys (David) Gadson and Tranie Ann (Minister James) Staley; one aunt, Patunia Capers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Walker.
Viewing will be held Friday, February 11, 2022, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Messiah Church of Deliverance (outside), 1198 Starline Drive, Summerville, SC. Burial will be in the church's cemetery. Please wear a face mask and practice social distancing at the viewing and the service.
