On March 4, 2011, the Lord picked one of his precious roses from His garden. The sun was risen for Elder Cleveland Singleton on October 29, 1946 in Moncks Corner, SC. He was the son of the late Edward and Beatrice Singleton. Cleveland was educated in the Berkeley County Public School System. He retired from the United States Army where he served his country proudly, even fighting in the Vietnam War. In 1974, Cleveland was united in marriage to Kathy Burden. To this union, three children were born. Cleveland accepted Christ in 1979. He was licensed as a minister through the Antioch Association. He served as Deacon, Minister and Pastor of several local churches. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. His grandchildren were his greatest joy. Four siblings preceded him in death. Cleveland was preceded in death by four siblings. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife of twenty-six years, Kathy Singleton; his children: Carl Singleton (LaDonna), Cleola Singleton, and Valarie Singleton-Keyes (Shawn); his grandchildren: Marcus Jr., Carl Jr., Cleveland (Jr.), Chloe, Carlisa, Youlonda, Keylizha, Aayanna, and Breanna (Pipichewie); his sibings: Anna Blakley, Edward Singleton, Jr., Emmaline Smith, Hattie Terry (Johnnie), Beatrice Smalls, Charles Singleton, Alma Singleton, and Andre Myers; a very special friend, Elder Alfred President; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
