Clyde Willis "Tokey" Gadsden, son of the late Johnny Gadsden and Ethel Lee Gadsden, was born on January 18, 1954 in Cordesville, South Carolina. He departed this life on September 11, 2012 at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. Clyde graduated from Berkeley High School, Moncks Corner, South Carolina. He was a member of Holy Comforter Reformed Episcopal Church. Clyde was united in holy matrimony to Thomasena Brown on December 26, 1992. Clyde was a loving husband, son, father, brother and grandfather. He was a kind-hearted and caring person. He leaves to cherish fond memories: his devoted wife, Thomasena Gadsden; his mother, Ethel Lee Gadsden; his stepdaughter, Shatarcia (Keith) Smith; his brothers and sisters, Barbara Goodwine, Johnny (Gwen) Gadsden, Jr., Geneva (David) Pinckney, Mary (Harris) Borden, Cynthia (Jerome) Fulton and Dexter Gadsden; his sister-in-law, Daisy M. Legare; his brother-in-law, Levi (Delcena) Brown; his granddaughters, Laila and Zara Smith; aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Clyde was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Gadsden, Sr.; nephew, Carl Goodwine; and niece, Sonya Shantel Allen.
