Mr. Craig Bernard Owens, the second child of Margaret Rollerson Owens and the late Bernard Owens, was born on February 3, 1975. He began his education in the Berkeley County School System attending St. Stephen Elementary, Middle and High Schools. Becoming a student at Macedonia High School in his junior year, Craig graduated with the Class of 1993. In high school, he was a member of the football team and eventually became an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. After graduating from high school, he continued his education and took classes at Nielsen Electronics Institute in Charleston, South Carolina.

Craig was a member of Mt. Carmel AME Church (Santee Circle Community) of Moncks Corner, SC. As a youth, he was active with the Church School, the YPDs, the Youth Ushers, and Boy Scout Troop 760. Later, he served as a Junior Trustee.

Craig married the former Shana McCray on July 10, 1998, and later renewed their vows on July 17, 2012.

Craig worked for Bill's Department Store in St. Stephen, SC, Piggly Wiggly in Moncks Corner, SC, the City of North Charleston, Berkeley County Child Nutrition Services, and Santee Cooper.

Craig loved his family and was very protective of them. Despite having a very deep voice, he was known for his quiet, friendly, and easy-going spirit.

On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the Medical University of South Carolina, Craig heard the Master's call. He realized that despite how much he loved his family and friends, it was time to take his heavenly rest from the troubles of this world.

Craig was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Owens.

Craig leaves to cherish his fond memories: his wife, Shana T. Owens; children, Alanta', DaVante and DeAnna Owens, and Ryan Reese; mother, Margaret Rollerson Owens; siblings, Cynthia (Rev. Dr. Brian) Williams and Quinton (Toneke) Owens; grandmother, Ella M. Owens; father and mother-in-law, Lonnie and Thomisina Frazier, Sr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lonnie (Vina) Frazier, Jr., Tara (Shan) Jones, Travis (Kelia) Frazier, and Leon (Audrey) Frazier; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; godchildren, Kiara Hardee, Ebony Watson, Kiara Jenkins and Lyndon Frazier; and a host of other relatives and friends.
