August 1, 1972 – May 20, 2021
Curtis Anthony Limehouse was born on August 1, 1972 in Charleston, South Carolina, a son of the late James Limehouse and Bessie Mae Gadsden Limehouse.
Curtis attended the public schools of Berkeley County. He lived in Cordesville with his beloved aunt, Nancy L. Gibbs until her health began to fail. He then moved to Huger, SC with his sister, Diane Moore; from there, he moved into an assisted living home in St. Matthews, SC until his health failed. Curtis then was admitted to Calhoun Convalescent Center where on Thursday, May 20, 2021, he transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly mansion.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness."
He leaves to cherish his memories: two brothers, Jimmy Limehouse (Sharon) and Sidney Limehouse (Patricia) both of Moncks Corner, SC; five sisters, Barbara Goodwine of Cordesville, SC, Esther Traeye of Fort Washington, MD, Diane Moore (Ricky) of Huger, SC, Ethel Johnson (Curtis) of Fitzgerald, GA and Carol Limehouse (Limus) of Ladson, SC; one uncle, Joe Limehouse; two aunts, Caldonia Limehouse and Ethel Lee Gadsden; Godmother, Louise Gadsden; two special cousins, Leroy Gadsden and Mona Lisa Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Curtis was preceded in death by Godmother, Ida Mae Bowens.
Viewing will be held Friday, May 28, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Comforter Reformed Episcopal Church Cemetery, 1685 Doctor Evans Road, Moncks Corner, SC.
