Damarius Sentell Williams, son of Birdie Mazyck Simmons and Augustus Williams, Jr., was born October 11, 1982 in Charleston County, South Carolina. He departed his life on Monday, September 12, 2022 in Moncks Corner, SC.
Sentell was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County, graduating from Berkeley High School in the Class of 2000.
At an early age he attended Ministries of Truth Tabernacle where he helped to keep the maintenance up around the church with his father Deacon EJ Walter Simmons.
Sentell enjoyed playing football and basketball. He loved talking trash and was very happy and joyful. His favorite teams were the San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Bulls. He was employed at DBW Fiber and started doing drywall work.
Those left to cherish his memory are: his mother, Mrs. Birdie Mazyck Simmons (Deacon Walter "EJ"); father, Mr. Augustus Williams Jr.; children, Zyonna Williams and Cayden Gethers; siblings, DeShanda Mazyck-Moses (Trawn), Rev. Michael Jermaine Williams (Tarnesha), Augustus Demond Williams III (Kyounia), Lisa Simmons-Grier, April Simmons, Anthony Jerome Taylor and Trayshon Williams; grandmother, Evangelist Elouise Simmons; special friend, Chastity Gethers; Godparents (aunt and uncle), Shirley and Carl Smalls; aunts, Pamala Brown (Pastor Joseph), Agnes Allen, Josephine Bouges, Evelyn Williams and Goldie Ancrum (Richard); uncles, Pastor Larry Mazyck (Anita), Sinclair Mazyck, Robert Williams (Albertha), Henry Williams (Ernestine) and Roger Williams; special cousins, Macy Williams, Javon Williams, Eli Jr. Williams and Latrell Mazyck; and a host of grandaunts, granduncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sentell was preceded in death by one brother, Antonio Simmons, one sister, Latasha Simmons; grandparents, Sidney and Bella Mazyck, Augustus Williams Sr. (Lydia), Elias Simmons, Sr.; and cousin/best friend, Dominic Allen.
Viewing will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Face masks are required. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Truth Tabernacle, 1169 Old Church Road, Cordesville, SC. Interment will be in Brightman Memorial Cemetery.
