Daniel Flagler, Sr., son of the late Eugene and Mary Flagler, was born September 16, 1945 in Kingstree, South Carolina. God dispatched His angel and took Daniel on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from the Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, SC. Daniel was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County, SC. At an early age, he became a member of Good Shepherd Reformed Episcopal Church. Daniel was employed with several companies, but he made a career as a Bus Mechanic for the Berkeley County School District Transportation Department for 30 years. On February 23, 1974, he was joined in Holy Wedlock to Annie Rose Mack. This union was blessed with four sons. His youngest son, LuQues, preceded him in death. Daniel was well known in the community for his trade as a mechanic and his love for people. He leaves to cherish fond memories: his wife, Annie Rose Mack Flagler; sons, Anthony, Daniel Jr., and Sylvester; daughters, Chiquitta Douglas, Annette (Eddie) Woods, Tawanna Snowden; an adopted daughter, Rondell White; sisters, Elreta (Leroy) Jones of St. Stephen, SC, and Lila (Leroy) Ravenell of Hackensack, NJ; brothers, Eugene Flagler, Jr. of St. Stephen, SC, and John (Edith) Flagler of Spring Valley, NY; two aunts, one uncle; twenty-five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
