David Jerome
"Bub" Gadson, Iii
April 16, 1969 – May 17, 2023
"He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need." - Acts 17:25
Mr. David Jerome Gadson III, affectionately known to everyone as "Bub", was born on April 16, 1969, in Charleston, South Carolina, to David Jr. and Gladys Joeann Gadson. He entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Trident Regional Medical Center, Charleston, South Carolina.
David was educated in the Berkeley County School System and graduated from Stratford High School in 1988. He was a member of CWright Jubilee Choir in his early years at New Grove Hall Christian Church. He assisted Messiah Church of Deliverance with lawn maintenance and cooking for special events. He was a dedicated employee at H&E Equipment for several years. David took pride in being the best Heavy Machinery Mechanic in the Tri-County Area.
David loved his family and would do anything for his son, especially his girls. He loved watching old cowboy movies, racing cars, as well as hunting and fishing with his friends. Most of all he thought he was the Bar-B-Que pit master.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his parents, David and Gladys Gadson of Summerville SC, four children Alphonso (Michelle) Patterson, Summerville SC, Kaitlyn Hennix of North Charleston, SC, Aaliyah Gadson of Summerville, SC and Dayonna Stewart of Summerville SC; four grandchildren, Da'miya Patterson, Xavier Patterson, David Anthony Patterson, Ava Patterson of Summerville SC; a loving sister, Latoya (Demond) White of Summerville SC, one niece, Sania Jean White; one nephew, Chandler White of Summerville SC; aunts, Thelma (Willie) Dean of Dekalb, GA, Arlean (James) Purvis of Greenville, NC, Rev.
