With heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. David Gadson, Jr. of Summerville, SC, who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Mr. Gadson faithfully served his church and community for many years. A dedicated and hardworking man, he took great pride in his profession and the contributions he made throughout his life.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his devoted wife, Gladys Joeann Gadson of Summerville, SC; his loving daughter, Latoya (Demond) White of Summerville; six grandchildren, Alphonso (Michelle) Patterson of Summerville, Kaitlyn Hennix of North Charleston, Aaliyah Gadson, Sania Jean White, Dayonna Stewart, and "The Boy" Chandler Demond White, all of Summerville; and four great-grandchildren, Da'miya Patterson, Xavier Patterson, David Anthony Patterson, and Ava Patterson, all of Summerville.

He is also survived by two sisters, Thelma (Willie) Dean of DeKalb, GA, and Arlean (James) Purvis of Greenville, NC; two sisters-in-law, Rev. Lillie Mae Reid of Moncks Corner, SC, and Tranie Ann (Min. James) Staley; and four brothers-in-law, Royal Walker, Rev. Henry (Felicia) Walker Jr., Eugene (Ruth) Walker, and Alphonso (Lucille) Walker, all of Summerville, SC. Many others mourn his loss, including a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, David J. Gadson III; his brother, Israel Gadson Sr.; and two brothers-in-law, Christopher Walker and Renolph Walker.

Viewing will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, 11:00 a.m., at New Grove Hall Christian Church, 1029 St. James Avenue, Summerville, SC. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
