"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Psalms 116:15 David Lee Waring, the beloved son of the late Nathan and Perneice P. Waring, was born April 14, 1937 in Berkeley County, SC. David was reared in Berkeley County and educated in the Berkeley County School System. He later became employed at the Carolina Florist where he worked and labored faithfully. In addition, he worked as a farm hand, completing whatever duties necessary to ensure the upkeep of the farm. David was a member of Jehovah United Methodist Church in Pineville, SC until the 1990s when he joined and became a faithful member of the House of God Saint Stephen. In the late 1990s, David was united in holy matrimony to Daisy Lou Simon. Day in and day out, David took care of his wife, even after his health began to fail. David was a true example of a man that honored his vows. In sickness and in health, David made it his top priority to care for his wife. David departed this life on October 14, 1008, at Lake Moultrie Nursing Home, Saint Stephen, SC. David was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Waring; two stepsons, Willie J. Gamble and Sammie Gamble, Jr., and a loving aunt, Corine Darby Addison. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife, Deaconess Daisy L. Waring of Saint Stephen, SC; one devoted stepson and daughter-in-law, Leon and Patricia Simon of Saint Stephen, SC; one sister, Lela (Gallie) Tapley of New York; three sisters-in-law, Deaconess Barbara (Deacon Elijah) Gaillard who were also his devoted caregivers of Saint Stephen, SC, Deaconess Sadie Mae Shirer of Russellville, SC and Mary Lou (Ernest) Graham of Central Islip, NY; one brother-in-law, James Albert (Lillie Mae) Jackson of Hollywood, FL; three daughters-in-law, Ruth Ann Gamble of Pineville, SC, Vernae Gamble of St. Stephen, SC, and Barbara Gamble of Salters, SC; a special aunt, Ineatha Paulin of Russellville, SC; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends
