Deacon Siddie "Sadie" "Precious" Mae Wiggs Heyward, the daughter of the late Ms. Lillian Birch Morton and the late Mr. Wiley Lee Wiggs, was born in Melbourne, Florida, on September 3, 1965. On Monday, October 18, 2021, she transitioned peacefully from earth to heaven surrounded by her family.

Sadie attended the public schools of Berkeley County, South Carolina. She was a member of Canaan Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Longridge community of Moncks Corner, SC, where she accepted Christ as her personal Savior, was baptized and served faithfully as a Deacon, Pulpit Aide President and Secretary of the Officers Board.

Sadie was united in holy wedlock to her childhood sweetheart, Mr. Benjamin Heyward for 37 years. In this union, they were blessed with three children.

Sadie was the owner and operator of Sadie's Cleaning Service for the past 27 fruitful years. On September 23, 2021, she retired to enjoy the fruit of her labor.

Sadie enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved having her children and grandchildren around her; they were the joy of her life.

Sadie was blessed to be a part of a loving family and her extended family of the Canaan Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Sadie was preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers, Ricky and Christopher Wiggs; one aunt, Victoria Bradley; one aunt-in-law and two uncles-in-law.

Those  left to cherish fond memories are: her loving husband, Benjamin of the home; one daughter, Shiraca (Derrick) Palmer of Moncks Corner, SC; two sons, Jonathan Wiggs of Greenville, SC and Marcus (Erika) Wiggs of Moncks Corner, SC; two sisters, Patricia Heyward and Evelyn Bradham both of Moncks Corner, SC; seven brothers, Wiley Lee Wiggs of St. John, FL, Charles (Desiree) Wiggs of Moncks Corner, SC, Isiah Birch of New Jersey, Shawn (Latoya) Brown of Decatur, GA, Alonzo Watson, Vince White all of Melbourne, FL, Wiley Wiggs III of Texas; three stepbrothers, Charles, Joey and Danny Morton all of Goose Creek, SC; seven grandchildren, Myesha, Derrick Jr., Aaliyah, Maddisyn, Shylah, Marcus Jr. and Nolani all of Moncks Corner, SC; her Fury family, Beanie and Marley; four incredibly special aunts, Elouise Smith, Ruth Stephens of Moncks Corner, SC, Mildred Johnson. Julia Williams of Jacksonville, FL, and Barbara Wiggs of Atlanta, GA; one uncle, Douglas Wiggs of Atlanta, GA; a lovable mother-in-law, Ms. Alethia Simmons; eight sisters-in-law and seven brothers-in-law; two aunts-in-law; three special friends, Deacon Patricia Simmons, Gwendolyn Ellington and Katie "Lynette" Thaxton; and a host of special nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, October 22, 2021, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Face masks are required. A Celebration of Life Service will held Saturday, October 23, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at Canaan Christian Church, 1232 Queenie Road, Moncks Corner, SC (Outside). Burial will be in Canaan Memorial Gardens, Sheep Island Road, Summerville, SC. Please wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
