With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Deaconess Mary S. Bryan of Moncks Corner, SC, who transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, April 18, 2025. She was the widow of Deacon Solomon Bryan.
A faithful servant of God, Deaconess Bryan dedicated her life to her church and community, serving with grace, humility, and unwavering devotion. She found joy in nurturing others—whether through her warm presence in the sanctuary, the beauty she created in her garden, or the love she poured into every cake she baked.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Linda B. (Elder Curtis) Squirewell, Deacon Benjamin S. (Sheila) Bryan, Brother Raymond M. Bryan (Mary), Shelia B. (Norman) Lampkin, Nathaniel L. (Natanya) Bryan, and Latasha B. Ingram; her stepson, Alonzo Wright; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who were blessed by her kindness and strength.
The family is receiving friends at the residence daily from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gethers Funeral Home.
A Home Going Celebration will take place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Anderson Baptist Church, 1159 Old Black Oak Road, Moncks Corner, SC. Viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be no viewing following the service.
Interment will follow at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery.
