IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dino E.
Ford
November 26, 1956 – August 16, 2019
Dino E. Ford was born to Willie Earl and Venezuela Burgess Ford on November 26, 1956. He started primary school in St. Stephen, SC and completed high school in Sumter, SC, where he lived with his grandmother, Mollie Rose Burgess. He later earned his degree in Waste Water Engineering. He was certified by the state with an A license in Water, Waste & Chemical Operations.
Dino was a member of Melina Presbyterian Church.
Dino was united in holy matrimony to Maggie Boler on April 8, 1996. This union was blessed with Christopher Johnson, and Taylor and Tylor Ford of Sumter, SC.
Although on the surface Dino may have appeared uncomplicated, he was a complex man who enjoyed his career and solving the problems and challenges that it would present on a daily basis. He drew from his teachings at Melina and used God's Word as his guide and to help guide others. Psalms and Provers were his favorite books of the Bible.
Dino spent his spare time as a DJ for friends and at Morris College. He enjoyed fishing and amusement parks – he loved a great roller coaster. In recent times, he spent and found solace in his garden in which he would share the fruits of his labor with family and friends. Dino would also use those moments to share his wisdom and insights on life.
Dino will forever remain in the minds and hearts of his children, Christopher, Taylor, and Tylor; his parents, Willie and Venezuela; his brothers, Dwayne (Joy) and Shaun (Crystal); his grandson, Kaleb; his aunts, Kittye Brown and Carter Jean (Debbye) Logan; nieces and nephew; cousins, and a host of relatives and friends.
His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 4:30 p.m., at O. Allen Gethers, Jr. Memorial Chapel, Gethers Funeral Home, Inc., 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC.
