Mrs. Dolly Ann Brown, the daughter of the late Eugene and Bessie Manigault Reid, was born on September 11, 1936 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She departed this life on July 26, 2014 at her residence. Dolly received her education in the Berkeley County School System. She was employed as a cook at Valley Hospital, New Jersey. After retirement, she returned to Moncks Corner, SC. At an early age, Dolly joined Moncks Corner A.M.E. Church where she was a faithful member until her health began to decline, and she was no longer able to attend. Dolly was united in holy matrimony to Fred Brown who preceded her in death. They were blessed with one son. Dolly was a loving, kind, gentle and peaceful person. She will truly be missed by her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: one son, Gerald Brown of the home; two granddaughters, Amanda and Amani Brown of the home; one grandson, Kingston Brown of the home; a special daughter, Marquettia Middleton of the home; one sister, Ruby Rivers of Moncks Corner, SC; three brothers, Elias Reid of Florida, Eugene (Viola) Reid of New Jersey and Leroy (Deloris) Reid of Conway, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
