Dominic Samuel Gibbs was born on December 3, 1985 in Charleston, SC, the son of Angela M. Erby and Samuel E. Gibbs, Jr.

"Nick", as he was called by family and friends, grew up in Huger, SC. He was educated in the public schools of Cainhoy Elementary and Middle Schools and was steps away from receiving his GED.

Nick was known for his jokes, dance moves, and being the life of any party. His hobbies included fishing, grilling and playing basketball. He was also an avid San Francisco 49ers fan.

On Thursday, February 7, 2019, Dominic S. Gibbs was called home to be with the Lord. He will be greatly missed.

His loving memories will be cherished by his wife, April Gibbs; his daughter, Taleiyah Gibbs; his son, Dominic Samuel Gibbs, Jr.; stepson, John Lee Scott, III; his loving parents, Angela Marie Erby (David) and Samuel E. Gibbs, Jr.; his siblings, Saedricka "Cocoa" Gantt, Latrice Gibbs (Johnathan Jenkins), and Eddie Samuel Gibbs (Kelly); grandparents, Anez and Edward Watson, Bishop Samuel and Elder Anna Bell Gibbs; uncles, aunts, great-uncles, great-aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
