Dear Friends, it was our Lord Jesus himself who said, "Come to me, all you who have labored and are burdened, and I will give you rest." Let us pray for our sister Dorothy, so she may rest from her labors and enter into the light of God's eternal Sabbath rest. Receive, O Lord, for she returns to you. Dorothy Baylor Frazier, affectionately known as "Tan", was born April 25, 1931, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She was a daughter of the late Lander and Laura Baylor. Dorothy departed this life on Thursday, November 28, 2013, at the Hospice of Charleston Center, Mt. Pleasant, SC. Dorothy attended Berkeley Training Center and graduated in 1968 from Berkeley High School. She furthered her education at Trident Technical College where she received an associate's degree in Dental and Medical Assisting. Dorothy worked as a dental assistant and medical assistant until she retired. Dorothy was an active member of Moncks Corner African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she sang on the Senior Choir until she became ill. She was a member of Moncks Corner Chapter #161, Order of the Eastern Star. In 1948, she was united in holy matrimony to Arthur "Jim" Frazier, Sr., and they were blessed with three children. She was preceded in death by her husband. Dorothy was passionate about providing for her family, gardening, and being a great homemaker. She was preceded in death by her siblings, John Baylor, Emma Patterson, Earthalee Sheppard, and Rosa Levy. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: three children, Vernell (Jerome) President, Arthur (Rev. Robin) Frazier, Jr. and Al Anthony Frazier all of Moncks Corner, SC; one sister, Daisy Mazyck of Moncks Corner, SC; seven grandchildren: Dereck President, Kenyard President, Erica President, Kia Frazier-Jiles, Kyra Frazier, Erica Frazier and Darryl Frazier; six great-grandchildren: Annastasha Willis, William Ahde Jiles, Jaylen Frazier, Michal President, Shaundre Frazier, and Sedarius Frazier; four sisters-in-law, Joyce Frazier, Alonia Frazier, Lillie Frazier all of Moncks Corner, SC and Lillian Frazier of Bristol, PA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
