With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mrs. Dorothy A. Middleton on Friday, September 27, 2024, at her residence.

Known lovingly as "Dot," she dedicated many years to driving school buses for Berkeley County School District, nurturing countless children along the way. Her warm smile and kind nature left an everlasting impact on those she met. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved.

She now rests in eternal peace, having been preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Maggie Prioleau; her first husband, Ernest Reed; her second husband, John Middleton; and her son, Illya Ernie Reed.

Her legacy lives on through her loving children, Alonzo Reed (Melissa), Faye Brown, Shanacqua "Peaches" Fant (Kenneth), and Jamaal Latron Reed; her brother, Isaac James Prioleau (Sarah); her precious grandchildren; and a host of family members and friends who adored her.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, 1:00 p.m., at Mt. Carmel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1059 Old Black Oak Road, Moncks Corner, SC. Burial will take place in Pineville Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Marcus Circle, Pineville, SC. THERE WILL BE NO VIEWING AFTER THE SERVICE.
