Earl Williams, Jr. was born on September 27, 1942, in Berkeley County, SC, a son of Alphonso Earl Williams and Garrie Dean Wright Williams. He transitioned to his eternal home on January 5, 2023, in Moncks Corner, SC, at his daughter's residence. His sudden departure has left many hearts saddened.

Earl, also known as "Crook" to family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County. He was employed as a long distance truck driver. His CB Handle was "Super Kid."

Earl was joined in Holy Matrimony to Martha Lee Gethers  on May 15, 1967. This union was blessed with one daughter.

Earl was known for his favorite phrases: "Thumbs up!", "See you later alligator, after awhile crocodile" and "Tighten up a little bit".

He leaves to cherish fond memories: his daughter, Wanda (Kenneth) Rivers; grandchildren, Kenneth Jr., LaKendra and Demetre Rivers; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jasmine Rivers, and Marco Greene, Jr.; sisters, Ethel Kelly, and Sherry (Harrison) Holmes; brother, Vernon Wright; brother-in-law, Clarence (Ethel) Gethers; sisters-in-law, Rose Mae Martin and Amber Palmer; aunt-in-law, Jane Williams; special cousins, Paulette (Chester) Prioleau, Jacqueline Prioleau, Lucious (Loretta) Gamble and Marcia Mack; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Martha Williams and  great-grandson, Micah Rivers.

A special thanks is extended to New Beginnings Residential Care Facility Staff: Helen (Charles) Ravenell, Anginet McFadden and Elizabeth Boone.

Due to the Covid pandemic, the family will not be receiving friends at their residence. They are grateful for your prayers and understanding during this difficult time.

Viewing and Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home (Moncks Corner). Face masks are required.
