Earline Nelson Marion, affectionately known as "Sis", was born February 12, 1923, in Cross, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ann Prioleau Nelson. She departed this life on Wednesday, March 31, 2011, at Trident Medical Center, Charleston, SC. She attended the public schools of Berkeley County and was employed by the Berkeley Restaurant for over thirty years. Earline joined Grace Reformed Episcopal Church at an early age. She served faithfully on the Pulpit Aide Committee and was dedicated to her church. She leaves to cherish fond memories her six sons: Leroy (Patricia) Marion, Jr. of Queens, NY, Frank (Elnora) Marion and Marshall (Ernestine) Marion of Moncks Corner, SC, Anthony (Marilyn) Marion of Nanuet, NY, Dr. Henry J. (Deborah) Marion of Columbia, SC and David (Ilma) Marion of Richmond, VA; two daughters: Patricia (Henry) Grantham and Hester (Ricky) Rhames, Sr. of Moncks Corner, SC; five sisters: Viola Weldon of Ridgeville, SC, Mazelle Bovelle of Queens, NY, Judy Broughton of Cross, SC, Beatrice Clarke of Brooklyn, NY and Evangelist Naomi (John) Milligan of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers: Enoch (Flora) Nelson of Brooklyn, NY and Andrew (Sherelle) Nelson of Goose Creek, SC; five brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Earline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leroy Marion, Sr., two brothers and two sisters.
