Earnest Henry Eaddy, husband of Annie Mae Cooper Eaddy, son of the late Henry and Lucille Eaddy, was born on June 18, 1942 in Hemingway, South Carolina. On Wednesday night, March 25, 2009, he was called to eternal rest. He quietly and peacefully entered into our Heavenly Father's kingdom in his sleep. He graduated from Cades High School, Cades, South Carolina where he met Annie Mae Cooper. Earnest and Annie Mae were united in Holy Matrimony on June 14, 1962. This holy union was blessed with five children, twelve grandchildren and on great-grandchild. A daughter, Deanna Swinton, preceded him in death. Earnest later moved to Newark, New Jersey where he was employed at Alpha Chemicals as a Chemical Technician for 11 years. He then relocated his family to Moncks Corner, South Carolina where he was employed at Santee Cooper Jeffries Generating Station as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 25 years, until he retired. After retirement, he worked at Standard Warehouse for 5 years. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of forty-six years, Annie M. Eaddy; one daughter, Lucille Eaddy-Gadsden of Ladson, SC; three sons, Earnest Eaddy, Jr. (Nikita) and Bernard Eaddy (Jeanette) both of Moncks Corner, SC and Erick Eaddy (Donalyn) of Columbia, SC; three sisters, Mildred Williams of Vauxhall, NJ, Betty James of Hemingway, SC and Lula Thompson (Lawrence) of Manning, SC; three brothers, Walter Eaddy (Dorothy) of Kingstree, SC, James Eaddy (Sherill) of Irvington, NJ and Harry Eaddy (Verlene) of Hemingway, SC; twelve grandchildren (special granddaughters, Katitia White (Antoine) of Greensboro, NC and Jerria Swinton of Moncks Corner, SC); one great-grandchild, Ahmani; aunts, Alvenia Green of Bronx, NY, Sadie Mae Lewis of Hemingway, SC, Mary "Plum" Wilson of Philadelphia, PA, Rebecca Eaddy of Deerfield Beach, FL and Katrina Eaddy of Hemingway, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
