Edna Gadsden, daughter of the late Frankie and Lillian Gadsden, was born September 16, 1934 in Cordesville, South Carolina. She was the second youngest of eight children. On Tuesday, April 19, 2011, she answered her Master's call. Edna received her education in the public schools of Berkeley County, SC. At an early age, Edna became a member of Holy Comforter Reformed Episcopal Church. Edna was a very kind-hearted, loving, and obedient person. She always had a smile on her face and was loved by everyone. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Alice Gadsden (Levi) of Moncks Corner, SC; five sons, Leroy Gadsden, Tony Gadsden (Rosabell), Rodney Gadsden (Sharice), David Gadsden (Pearly Mae) all of Moncks Corner, SC, and Leon Gadsden (Carolyn) of Huger, SC; one sister, Nancy Lee Gibbs of Cordesville, SC; one sister-in-law, Ethel Lee Gadsden of Cordesville, SC; eighteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a favorite niece who she reared as her daughter, Latarsha Gadsden Ferguson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Edna was preceded in death by six siblings.
