With tender hearts and deep reverence, we announce the earthly transition of Elder Jacob Johnson, Jr. of St. Stephen, South Carolina, who entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
For more than 40 years, Elder Johnson faithfully served as a minister, devoting his life to preaching, teaching, and living the Word of God. A committed member of Christ Fellowship Ministry for the Bride of Christ, he found great joy in reading the Holy Bible and often drew strength from his favorite passage, Psalm 121 — a scripture that now brings comfort as we are reminded that our help comes from the Lord.
The legacy of his faith, wisdom, and steadfast love will continue to speak through the many lives he touched. Elder Johnson leaves to cherish his precious memory his devoted wife, Mrs. Veronica Johnson; his beloved granddaughter, Jahtia Johnson; and a host of other relatives, friends, and church family who were blessed by his ministry and presence. He was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Todd Johnson.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Gethers St. Stephen Chapel, 221 Church Road, St. Stephen, SC.
A Home Going Celebration will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Refuge Temple Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, 3674 North Highway 52, St. Stephen, SC.
Burial will be in Tri Churches Cemetery, 280 Hood Street, St. Stephen, SC.
During this time of sorrow, we humbly ask that you surround the Johnson family with your heartfelt prayers, love, and encouragement. May they be uplifted by the peace of God, strengthened by His promises, and comforted by the outpouring of care from all who share in their loss.
