With heartfelt sympathy and love, we share the passing of Mr. Ernest Lee Whitted, Sr. of Columbus, OH, who transitioned from life on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The memories of his quiet and calm spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Mr. Whitted honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 23 years. He loved his family, especially his son, Ernest Jr. and had no problem telling you that was his son. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and electronics.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: his son, Ernest L. Whitted Jr. (Esther); his siblings, Mamie Bell and Alvester Whitted; and a host of family and friends who will forever treasure his legacy.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Virginia Whitted; his parents, Frank and Mary Louise Whitted; and siblings, Frank Whitted, Jr., Charles Whitted and Ida Whitted.

The viewing will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, 11:00 to 11:55 am, at Gethers Funeral Home, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, 12:00 p.m., at Gethers Funeral Home, 200 Grace Street, Moncks Corner, SC. Burial, WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS, will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 South Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, SC.
