Obituary

Mother Estelle Rollerson Wilson, better known as "Blossom", "Sis. Bloss", and "Aunt Blossom", was the daughter of the late Augustus and Matilda Ravenell Rollerson. Born on June 28, 1925, in the Bar Hill Community of Bonneau, South Carolina, she was the sixth of eight children. On Sunday morning, October 18, 2015, "Blossom" answered her call to become a member of the Lord's Heavenly Flower Garden. Estelle was educated in the public schools of the Berkeley County School District, where she completed the eighth grade by attending the Adult Education Program at Bonneau Elementary School. At an early age, she became a member of her family church, Bethel United Methodist Church in the Forty-One Community. She later became a member of Good Shepherd Reformed Episcopal Church after her marriage to Woodrow Wilson, Sr. in which they reared twelve children - six girls and six boys. Estelle was well-known in the community, and will be remembered by her family and friends for her love of quilting, canning, and making sweet potato pies, catfish stew, jelly, and soap. She loved her family, and taught her children the value of family, love, and most importantly, God. Estelle loved the Lord, loved to sing, and loved working in the church. She has served in many capacities and on various auxiliaries, to include Chairperson of the Missionary Society for over 30 years, Chairperson of the Family & Friends Program, and member of the Vestry Board, Senior Choir, Pulpit Aide, Pastor's Aide, Sunday School, Women of the Church, Van Committee, and the Harvest Committee. She was a faithful and dedicated member until her health began to fail and she was no longer able to attend church. Estelle will be missed by many in the church, in the community, and in her extended family. Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings (Sam, Rosa Lee, Albert, Mary Magdelene, Gus, and Lucille), her husband, Woodrow Wilson, Sr., and two sons, Woodrow Jr., and Robert Lee. Estelle leaves many to cherish her memories: ten (10) children, Robert "Bobby" G. Rollerson, of New York City, New York, Carrie Rollerson, Margaret R. (Bernard) Owens, James (Alfreda) Wilson, Annie Mae (Leon) Milford, Barbara (Nathaniel) Milford, Rev. Deacon Johnnie (Cecelia) Wilson, Joe Nathaniel (Velma) Wilson, and Alyce Wilson, all of St. Stephen, South Carolina, and Cellamena Theirse of Pineville, South Carolina; a sister, Rebecca Rollerson Middleton of St. Stephen, South Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Savage Wilson; twenty-four (24) grandchildren, forty-eight (48) great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, four (4) special "adopted" daughters: Darlene Barnes Montgomery (Columbia, SC), JoeAnn Owens (Moncks Corner, SC), Jacqueline Williams Montgomery (Pineville, SC), and Berndena Beauford (St. Stephen, SC); a special friend, Ida Mae Blandon (St. Stephen, SC); two (2) Godchildren, Anne Middleton (Connecticut), and Brittany Cleveland (St. Stephen, SC); and a special guardian angel who sent her an encouraging card weekly, Sadie F. Gadsden. *********************************************************************** In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Good Shepherd Reformed Episcopal Church, P.
