Ethel (Estelle) Nelson Glover, 93, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at her home. She was born March 22, 1929, in Berkeley County, South Carolina, to Carrie Gadsden Nelson and Samuel Nelson. She received her education in the schools of Berkeley County and graduated from high school.

Ethel, known to family members as Estelle, was a member of Mt. Carmel AME Church. She was employed as a cook for many years until her retirement.

Estelle enjoyed cooking and solving crossword puzzles. She had many stories and history to share. She passed away while cooking and preparing her Sunday dinner. She was like a mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother to so many family members and friends. She was a very loving and caring person. If she had your number, she would most definitely call to check on you to ensure that you were alright. She always asked if you wanted something to eat ("please don't say no.") She had a very sharp and keen mind like a twenty-year-old. She also had a great sense of humor. Estelle was loved and will be greatly missed. She was the last one standing.

She leaves to mourn her passing: one daughter, Shirley Nelson-Seals; two granddaughters, Laverne Nelson and LaMonda Seals; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Martin, Bryce Kelly and Brea Martin; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and a special friend, Arthur (Booza) English.

Viewing will be held Friday, September 16, 2022, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Face masks are required. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Carmel AME Church Cemetery, 1059 Old Black Oak Road, Moncks Corner, SC.

The family will receive friends at 1336 Hermitage Lane, Ladson, SC 29456 on Friday, September 16, 2022.
